INTERNAL MEDICINE
The Division of Internal Medicine at Hadassah University Hospital
• integrates several units: 3 inpatient departments for 105 beds in total, a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with 9 intensive-care beds, and a Day Care Unit for 30 beds
• operates a number of the Hadassah’s centers of excellence: center of liver diseases, diabetes, rheumatology, geriatrics, clinical immunology and allergy, clinical nutrition, research and prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis, and Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Nephrology and Pulmonology Services.
The Hadassah approach is comprehensive and multidisciplinary addressing the whole spectrum of medical problems, applying the latest techniques, and the up-to-date research results in:
• Endocrinology: diagnosis and treatment in all areas of endocrinology
• Gastroenterology: counselling and treatment for those suffering from diseases and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract
• Nephrology and Hypertension : treatment and prevention of kidney disease and hypertension
• Allergy and Clinical Immunology : diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune and allergic conditions in adults and children
• Liver : diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases
• Geriatrics : a comprehensive assessment of various conditions in elderly
• Rheumatology: diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases
• Diabetes: treatment of diabetes and its complications
• The Center for Research, Prevention and Treatment of Atherosclerosis: preventing heart and vascular diseases
• Internal Intensive Care: care for patients in critical condition
• Osteoporosis: diagnosis, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and metabolic bone diseases
